For many of these players, it was their first experience on a national stage — and they rose to the occasion. From the opening whistle, the Griquas Girls displayed fearless tackling, quick ball movement, and a passion for the game that turned heads across the tournament.

These matches weren’t just about results — they were about opportunity, exposure, and growth. Every try, every tackle, and every moment on the field built confidence and belief in what’s possible for women’s rugby in the Northern Cape.

Building the Future of Women’s Rugby

The participation of our Girls teams is the start of something bigger. It’s a testament to the hard work being done by coaches, administrators, and communities who believe that rugby is for everyone — and that talent knows no gender.

With continued support, training, and development, these players represent the future of the women’s game in Griqualand West.

A Proud Moment for Griquas Rugby

We salute the players, coaches, and families who made this journey possible. Your commitment is building a pathway for many more girls to follow in your footsteps.

This is just the beginning — and we can’t wait to see where it leads.
